For more than 50 years, Halloween in Canada has been synonymous with helping
children around the world through Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF.
Through Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, students have the opportunity to learn about
challenges to education in Africa while implementing their own creative
fundraisers throughout October. Although the campaign has changed over the years,
one thing remains the same: kids are still helping kids through Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF.
Funds raised are helping bring 4 million children in Africa back to school or helping
them to enroll for the first time.
Giving the gift of education to children in Malawi and Rwanda is as easy as donating
$5 which can provide a classroom with pencils, or $25 which can help UNICEF provide
a child with a desk, or $250 for a School-in-a-Box.
This Media Room aims to provide you with quick and convenient access to the
materials you’ll need to share news about Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, including
news releases, backgrounders and photos.
